Lilies of The Divine Feminine
Lilies of The Divine Feminine
by Camilla Blossom, flower alchemist
In my work as a flower essence maker and alchemist, I intuitively listen to the wildflowers. Devas of lilies (angels or spirits of the plants) appear to me as I create flower essences. The lilies hold a very different quality of energy—ethereal, refined, and deliciously feminine. Lily energy can be so subtle that it is easy to miss unless we slow way down and be.
We learn from the lily who we are. The very subtle quality of the lily flower’s resonance is a mirror of our own delicate nature that is often hidden. Lily’s delicate beauty is needed by all of us to remember our own deeper feminine and divine nature. This gentle part of our soul is yearning to feel safe in expressing its essence and to be love. When we nourish our more passive feminine selves with gentleness, self-care, and space for ourselves without outside pressures, we embody the divine feminine more fully.
It is quite simple to receive the medicine or resonance of the lily flowers. Spend time with the lilies in nature, buy lilies, smell them, sit with them, or look at photographs. In meditation, you can ask for the deva of a specific lily to be your teacher, healer, or guide. You can also take a few drops of a lily flower essence in your water or bath.
Imagine that you are a wild lily… your bulb very shallowly rooted in the earth, your flower receptive to intuitive feelings and spiritual insight, you feel watery, emotional, sensitive, energetically refined, beautiful. You feel oneness and a sense of no boundaries, you can merge with all space. How do you feel as a lily? Can you receive love? Can you sense a birthing of light or frequency within you? Can you sense where you end and the world begins—your boundary or space or body? Do you feel of value in this feminine way? Do you feel safe to be you? Can you just be?
During a class, one of my students excitedly said she could finally feel her self in her skin—the place where she ended and the world began as if she found a boundary for herself. In another class, a woman had an experience of feeling the true space her energy body took up. Her energy field was large! She has been shrinking herself down since childhood because she felt too big in her body, but now she felt the beauty of her large presence and felt safe to embody it.
Part of the spiritual purpose of the lily flowers is to mirror our beauty and self worth. Because our culture has not honored what comes from our feminine nature (for women or men), this gentle, receptive, sensitive aspect has become a shadow or denied aspect. The culture of patriarchy has put little value on more passive feminine ways. All this is changing fast. The feminine is emerging and rebirthing within us and in our babies and children.
Here a few of wild lilies I have created flower essence from for rebirthing and reclaiming the divine feminine within:
Mt. Hood Lily is a very tall, white fragrant beauty that grows in Oregon’s higher elevation forests and is like a wild version of the Easter Lily. This glorious lily helps us claim our personal space, presence, and self worth. It energetically purifies shame and other emotions that can cause reproductive issues. Mt Hood Lily also heals the split between our sexuality and spirituality.
The joyous and playful Glacier Lily honors our deep lily sensitivity as it shows us how to step out of hiding and share our sweet self. This yellow flower helps us share, dance, and express ourselves more freely. Glacier Lily opens the sweetness of our children and our inner-child.
The lovely pink cup of the Mariposa Lily (green-banded) holds the feminine chalice of divine mother for those that need to feel loved, mothered, and cared for. She teaches us how to receive. This flower essence helped a non-fertile couple conceive a child and knitted a new womb space (in her dream) for a woman recovering from a hysterectomy. This essence can be useful for addiction recovery or any mothering or bonding issues. (ie, babies, children)
The vibrant blue Camas (lily family) balances the brain hemispheres and the blending of feminine/masculine qualities that foster healthier relationships. It also enhances communication, counters depression, and brings acceptance.
Lily can be our teacher as we rebirth and blossom into new energies of the loving divine feminine. Listen to the Deva of the White Lilies. She says, “There is no need to understand us as much as open to our energies and allow us to love you.”

Diving Deep: Embracing Your Feminine Mystery
Perhaps you passed through this phase last fall and have a firm footing in your new landscape. If so then this will not resonate for you. However, many of us are undergoing a new aspect of death and re-birth, shedding our skins and taking each step as it comes, sometimes not knowing if the footing will be there to catch us.
As a friend and colleague of mine put it, “we are all being pulled into who we came to be.”During the moon and solstice transmissions of 2009, as well as in the magnetizing groups, I witnessed as you took your places and claimed your authentic selves. You became the Goddess in your earthly form of human woman. You passed through initiations, received robes and chalices in the soul planes and Temples of the Masters. Some of you witnessed each other in this process, and others I believe may not yet be aware of all that you re-patterned, embraced and birthed.
We made our choices.
We took our rightful places.
And now, we walk through the becoming, the manifestation. We allow the unraveling and bravely create anew. Despite our broken hearts, our past hurts of not being seen, of our gifts not being valued, or desires not having arrived yet, we press on. We feel the strength of our ancestors, the women who walked on this Earth before us. We sink into the gravity of Mother Earth, her constant tone of support. Her ceaseless love and abundance. We surrender to the heat of the sun, the penetrating male aspect of this world, receiving the steady nourishment, renewed. We trust. We live and breathe FAITH.
We reach for each other as Priestesses on the inner planes. We each hold a piece of this transformation, and we know how to resource ourselves and support one another on the inner planes. It is a group work.
Here on our newborn Earth we take our time. Claim our space. Take baths. Walks. Beach time. A visit to the spa. Good cries. Good books. Good friends…or… solitude. Nourishing food and herbal teas. Sleep. Dream. Be.
Could it be we are immersed in dark waters of the Goddess, the deep cavernous mysteries of the Divine Feminine before she makes her emergence?
Could it be that we as a collective consciousness are choosing to do this
together, so that we may truly be reborn together as women? So that we
may claim our power and create anew this life, what it means to be a
woman on Earth?
